Union of Xyon - Venerian 
Understanding 3202

The Polities of the Union of Xyon and the Venerian Republic, being animated 
by a common desire to preserve peace between human nations, have agreed 
upon the following articles: 


Article 1: Non-aggression

Both Polities will neither take nor support, directly or indirectly, 
any military action directed against the assets or interests of the 
other.     


Article 2: Military Co-operation

The General Staffs of the Militaries of both Polities shall facilitate 
the exchange of staff officers, joint military exercises, and the creation 
of combined communication protocols.


Article 3: Economic Co-operation

Both Polities agree to take measures to promote mutual trade and economic 
growth between and within their polities. In addition, effective from 
3203.001, the Union of Xyon extends Most Righteous System Status to the 
Republic of New Venus systems of Musashi, Power House, Goof Ball, Nest, 
Poppy Alley and Mannschaft in Quadrant 8, and the Republic of New Venus 
grants across the board reduced tariff trading concessions to Deadwood 
and Pineapple Manager in Quadrant 8. The arrangements to be reviewed 
every 2 years with a view to extending them to appropriate Republic and 
Union worlds in other Quadrants.


Article 3: (b)

Both Polities agree to take measures, when requested and practicable, 
to assist in the economic well being of the other, this to include the 
exchange of Governmental investments [OOC: SVs].
The details of any such agreements will be worked out by the relevant 
government officials. 
This article is merely an 'umbrella agreement' to begin doing so.


Article 3: (c)

To oversee the measures laid out in article 3, both polities agree to 
the establishment of two bodies: The Viable Economics Group (VEG) 
tasked with devising strategies and initiatives to maintain sustainable 
economic growth throughout the RNV and UoX; and the Mutual Economic 
Assistance Taskforce (MEAT) tasked with coordinating our investments to 
bring about the maximum return for all concerned.
